Speaking of Radiant Orchid

This week we had the opportunity to help out with decorating for an event titled "This Girl". Its purpose is to help young girls build strong identities not based on media and physical images but rather whats inside.  Check out these photos. And look there is a little "Radiant Orchid" in the mix....i think these pantone people are on to something.

And the Winner is.....Radiant Orchid!

Every year in the design world, pantone selects a color of the year. Last year if you remember it was that beautiful emerald green. This year Pantone has selected...wait for it....it's coming....hold your horses...and moment now...RADIANT ORCHID! Look at that!

 I'm sure you have seen this color starting to pop up everywhere. It has definitely made its way into spring fashion for this year. But how will it pan out in the interior design world? The people over at Pantone say this about Radiant Orchid,

" Radiant Orchid reaches across the color wheel to intrigue the eye and spark the imagination...An enchanting harmony of fuchsia, purple and pink undertones, Radiant Orchid inspires confidence and emanates great joy, love and health."

Furniture Painting Is Fun To Do!

Furniture pieces that are old, out dated, blah, musty, worn out and just plain UGLY... there is hope for you. Here are some great pieces our friend Scott has been working on and what he has to say about them.

"This quality piece is amazing how it is BUT feels a little dark and outdated. With a warm pink color, its pretty perfect for my princess."

"I'm not sure why 'blue' is used to describe something sad or depressing. This blue brought out my green with envy. Love, love this color. Oh and glass knobs. Bang bang!! Shoot me now."
